The article about that young man's death was powerful and touching. It didn't feel quaint. I'm sure that despite all the insane DEI garbage, there are still young people getting trained as nurses today and feeling much like you did. We need caring people like you in the nursing profession. I'm so sorry for what you're going through and pray that you will prevail.
You have the heart of a true nurse, and it breaks my heart that such a skilled and compassionate nurse is being broken by the nursing profession, esp by its bureaucrats. May you triumph and the woke mess crumble like the house of cards that it is!
Both articles are eloquent and should be read widely.
Just 50 years ago that young man had no expectation of anyone even making the effort to save him. You were at the cutting edge of life-saving, and that is always a place of grief.
Thank you for this post, Amy and for staying steadfast through the persecution. They tried to destroy you in order to validate their new state religion and you have risen above all of it. Your pain has not been in vain.
In the US, too, they are driving nurses out of the profession and reducing health care to squalor. Bureaucrats, activists, and activist wannabes. Through all this nurses continue to show courage and compassion. A blessed profession under fire. All of us patients need to keep that in mind as we interact with the nurses who care for us.
Apart from being a huge admirer, I am also a volunteer at NRGH- Info booth. This building has not ever.had a coat of paint. We have two administrators, one uses pronouns. I have been told how to operate a wheelchair. I have been told that it is not my job to tell arrivals to use a mask- the full time staff has to do that. Bureaucracy gone nuts. However I was in the ICU getting treated and I give the Drs and nurses 10/10. Very pleasant and professional. I suggested to my MLA Sheila Malcolmson to come and get some selfies taken in the waiting room at Emerg. I can’t imagine why she wld refuse. Any knives or drugs been shared in your hospital, or is that just Pr George? I hope that any Cons or Utd party govt would offer you some advisory roll to erase so much of the indoctrination.Malcolm Berry.
Amy, this is such a tragic yet beautiful article. It gave me a new appreciation for nurses. But it also drove home the awful reality of death. As a Christian, I don’t believe that death is just a part of life, I see it as an enemy. The Bible says that it’s the last enemy that will be destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26). I pray that you will come to know the comfort and hope of Revelation 21:4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away”.
Amy, We both live in BC. To have any chance of stopping the wokes, we need a united right wing party. Two split the vote and Eby wins the upcoming election.Hopefully Falcon and Rushtag read the NP - a kick from you might get some action.

I hope you’re right. We need nurses.

Most people have no idea. Thank you, Amy. You make reality real.
Thank you for speaking up for all of us.
I wish peace for you, and reformation for these institutions that seek to punish you.
We are many, and we stand with you. Standing in truth, not fleeting emotions
Both pieces are wonderful, Amy.
Thank you.

"I think it would take these [DEI] people years before they even noticed that not a single patient was lined up for a bed."
🙂 Reminds me of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and all the people they put on the Ark B ... 😉🙂

You might be encouraged that University of Texas has apparently put the kibosh on the DEI cohort:

But more power to you -- an honorable profession. Hope it goes well with you when the dust settles on your BC College of Nurses and Midwives case.
